I have been keen on sports, fitness and nutrition ever since a child to the point
where those closest to me have accused me of being obsessed! Staying in shape and getting the most out of my body is something that I’ve always been passionate about.
As a youngster I was keen to play any sport but mainly rugby and football. As I got older the focus shifted more towards total body fitness, particularly as various injuries limited the amount of sport I could play.
I studied engineering at the University of Birmingham followed by an extended period of travelling. My fitness qualifications were achieved during my spare time.
I am a certified personal trainer (Level 3 Personal Training and Nutrition- QCF) specialising in strength and conditioning, fat loss and ‘clean’ nutrition, combining cardiovascular exercise with resistance work. Wherever possible I try to utilise a varied selection of exercises. Mixing ‘old school’ exercises with the latest training techniques using equipment such as kettle bells and medicine balls right through to TRX suspension straps.
I am also fully qualified in Ante Natal and Post Natal Exercise (Level 3 Award in Adapting Exercise for Ante Natal and Post Natal Clients- QCF)
My workouts and diet plans are tailored to meet individuals’ needs, whether it be in preparation for a wedding or changing their lifestyle for a healthier future. I cater for both sexes and all ages from 18 upwards.
I have learnt a lot about the limits of my own body and am always keen to encourage others to find theirs.
My mantra is ‘strong in body, strong in mind’. In my experience the majority of people who exercise regularly remain positive in their outlook to life; I think physiological health walks hand in hand with mental stability.
I strongly believe that if you eat the right foods and treat your body with the respect it deserves, you can achieve so much more out of life and ultimately be a much happier person.
